Camilla started going to fashion shows long before she was invited. And that was it.
She studied Fashion at St. Martins, while working weekends as a shop girl to pay her way. She did any work placement going from the fashion cupboards at The Telegraph, The Times to VOGUE.
On graduating she moved to Paris and worked for John Galliano at Dior. But, when the last light bulb popped in her apartment, she decided it was time to come home. She began writing, and started to get invited to shows in her own right, and began putting into practice all she had learnt.
Camilla has contributed to numerous glossies and newspapers, including TIME, Harpers Bazaar US and UK, The Telegraph and Times Newspapers.
Her big passion is showtime, and she has reported on the shows for The Daily, www.fashionweekdaily.com as well as for several seasons on www.vogue.co.uk. For March 2009 she is writing a 'How To Survive Fashion Week Guide' for the US website Modelinia, www.modelinia.com.
Camilla also continues to make tea and be the ever on call 'Girl Friday' for John Galliano in Paris, collaborating with him for both Dior and Galliano projects.
Camilla's first book 'How to Walk in High Heels' was a UK Bestseller and has been translated into twenty languages worldwide.
Her second book 'A Girl for All Seasons' was published September 2007 with the party of London Fashion Week hosted at Browns.
The paperback edition, titled 'A Year in High Heels', was published summer 2008 in the UK, and in Fall 2008, published by Harper Collins in the US.
Camilla is currently working on several book projects, fashion, fiction and always a 'Happily Ever After'… Watch this space…
